I reached out to the owner and proposed building a complete website for them. What started as a conversation over tea became a paid freelance engagement — the only one in my portfolio. This wasn't a side project or a learning exercise; it was a real business deliverable with real client expectations.
Working in a 2-person Agile team, we delivered the entire project in approximately one week — from initial requirements gathering and client sign-off through to production deployment and user acceptance testing. I handled everything beyond the code independently: UI/UX design, photography, and all written content.
